“My family moved to South Dakota, and I began painting the beauty of the Great Plains region. My landscape paintings gradually become much larger. One of my primary goals is to bring visitors peace and a sense of connection through paintings of the local landscape. I focus on the connection between people, animals, and our natural habitat. This gives viewers
the opportunity to revisit places and memories that bring them a sense of peace, joy, and a deep connection with the world.”

Jessie Rasche is a professional artist based in South Dakota. Raised and educated in the Pacific Northwest, Jessie has had lifelong interests in art, psychology, and science. She worked as a medical animator and illustrator at the University of Washington, then as a media developer at Microsoft. Her work has shown in fine art galleries, museums, and in private collections in over 30 states, Canada, and overseas. Jessie is an exhibiting member of Oil Painters of America and an award-winning member of the American Impressionist Society. Jessie also teaches painting classes online.
