In The Shadow of Time by Mary Groth Image: “The presence of a man and a woman, he dappled by shadows and she glowing in light, draws the viewer into the image to contemplate meaning. Through the expressions, postures, and obverse positioning of the two figures, an interaction with the viewer is developed and details are subjectively interpreted. My own inner dialogue asks these questions when
I create a new work, and it is a similar inner (and sometimes outer) dialogue that I hope to stimulate in those who experience my work.”
