I recently participated in the inaugural Tankwa Artscape 2018. This was held in the arid, semi-desert region of the Tankwa Karoo (South Africa) over a period of 5 days. Working within the landscape I created a sound drawing from soil that I had collected from the dry river bed. Grinding it to a fine consistency over a period of two days I created the drawing on the floor of an abandoned reservoir. The sounds were captured from my immediate environment.
