When I stood back and laid my eyes on this painting, after the final stroke of the brush, the word that came instantly to mind was Shy. I feel like I want to come to her defense, to comfort her and let her know she doesn’t have to worry. “I would never hurt you.” I cannot help but to relate to that shyness. I can be out going and have fun with friends and easily meet new people. But there is always an introvert side of me that just wants to go home and not deal with being around people. And that’s okay, too.
