“Driving rain. Umbrella spinning. Defiant unyielding correcting waves.” A companion to the next piece in this series, this work intimates a crash from the kinetic friction of the sea to the stillness of something ashore. It captures the moment where "invisible, gusting force" becomes a physical presence. The layering of musical notation beneath a surging, turquoise crest suggests that the ocean’s violence is structured—a chaotic symphony of "pressures floating." The piece explores the intersection of human perception and elemental power, where the body does not just watch the storm, but "looks with lungs" at the weight of the air.
