A rare real photo card featuring the White Star Line's officer training ship Mersey. A similar head-on image of Mersey appears on a the cover of one of Titanic's First Class a la carte Restaurant menu folders. Many of Titanic's eventual officers were trained onboard Mersey.

Note: There is some speculation that given the "H" signature, the Liverpool postmark, the handwriting, and the context of the message, this card *may* have been written by Titanic's Third Officer, Herbert Pitman. This has yet to be confirmed. Referenced values are made assuming there is no connection, and may be subject to change upon confirmation.
