A rare real photo postcard featuring Harland & Wolff's new floating crane, which was designed at Deutsche Maschinenfabrik AG, Berlin. It was, at the time, the world's largest floating crane, cost Harland & Wolff £30,000, weighed 200 tons and could lift 250 tons at a time. It was specifically designed for fitting out Olympic and Titanic, lowering boilers, bulkheads, funnels, and large pieces of their superstructure into place.
