An exceptional original silver gelatin photograph showing Carpathia's Captain, Arthur H. Rostron, sitting onboard Carpathia on the morning of April 16th, 1912, the day after recovering Titanic's survivors. The back of the photograph is inscribed "Carpathia - Captain Rostron & Montie - 4/16/1912".

Photographs of Rostron are rare to begin with. Photographs of him onboard Carpathia, which he only commanded for a short twelve months, are nearly unheard of.
