Few people know that the richest man onboard Titanic, John Jacob Astor, who perished in the sinking, was in his earlier years a rather accomplished science fiction writer.

This first edition copy of his 1894 novel 'A Journey in Other Worlds' tells the planet-hopping story of a space ship, Callisto, and gives a fictional portrayal of life in the year 2000.
