Tour de Force

Because history is important to me, I chose to write about it as my celebration of the 100th year of women’s suffrage. The words of the Nineteenth Amendment, a grand tour de force, are brushed onto parchment-like cloth in the midst of which stands the silhouette of a representational suffragist of the era. To her right, she looks at a time-line of events written in small black letters. The time-line begins with the 1776 plea from Abigail Adams to her husband to “remember the ladies” when writing the Declaration of Independence.

Proeza (2018)

Debido a que la historia es importante para mí, elegí escribir sobre ella como mi celebración del centenario del sufragio femenino. Las palabras de la Decimonovena Enmienda, un gran tour de force, se cepillan sobre una tela parecida a un pergamino en medio de la cual se encuentra la silueta de una sufragista representativa de la época. A su derecha, mira una línea de tiempo de eventos escritos en letras pequeñas negras. Tour de Force (2018)

Vì lịch sử quan trọng đối với tôi, tôi đã chọn viết về nó để kỷ niệm 100 năm quyền bầu cử của phụ nữ.
