During the Gulf War, America was glued to the television set. One of the frequently used phrases when either General Powell or Swartzkoft updated the public was: "Successful Sortie with Limited Collateral Damage."

After the war, Hill decide to make a quilt depicting the pinpoint accuracy of the bombings or sorties from an aerial view. The X in the block represents the view finding screen on the airplane. The center is the impact of the bombs. The yellow lines are the anti-aircraft fire. The red is for the fire and blood. The background depicts the time of the raids from dusk through the night. The Peace signs on the back represent an opposing point of view.
