This was a pre-cut Ruby McKim Quilt kit donated by Fern Purdy that the Santa Clara Valley Quilt Association (SCVQA) members decided to put together and quilt to honor her. She was a founding member who was 86 years young and unable to quilt anymore. Pieced together February 1986 and quilting was started in March 1986. The kit was purchased in the 1940s for $4.50.
