The "Drunkard's Path" quilt was named for its characteristic zig-zag pattern. The zig-zag appears to resemble the path of a drunkard stumbling home. While many variations of this quilt pattern exist, this particular quilt has a unique border and tri-color design. The contrast of the thick brown border framing the red and tan pattern creates a lovely tension of energetic lethargy. The drunkard's path design is often features only two colors, however this particular quilt features three colors that harmonize together in a unique way.
