The Message Stick represents the indigenous culture of the Hunter Region. Stephen Schmidt presented it in December 2013 at the torch run of the Para Olympics in Singelton. Richard SCOTT (Singleton Men Shed) created the hardwood base, painted by Denise Hedges (left-hand side) and a painting of an Aboriginal Elder by Kerri-Ann Taggart (right-hand side). A meeting place is central to the lower middle part of the stick.
