"I am drawn to painting watercolour landscapes. There is a special alchemy that can take place when the transparency of paint pigments on paper evokes a sense of natural light and captures a fleeting moment or mood. I choose every aspect of the painting, drawing on nature and creating my own moods and colours to suit the story I have in mind. Here, I am trying to capture and impart a sense of serenity, the rolling hills and the vastness of the Hunter Valley."
