Artist: Robyn ATTUELL (b. 1942)
Robyn Attuell (born 1942) started pottery classes at Bathurst Technical College NSW in the late 1960s. While living in Currabubula NSW, she attended summer schools at East Sydney Tech (now the National Art School), participating in workshops with guests Peter Rushford (1945-2005) and Shiga Shigeo (1928-2011) who inspired experimentation for future work. It was around this time in 1976, that Robyn entered the Singleton Pottery Prize and won the local prize with the bowl now in the Singleton Civic Art Collection.
Moving to Woronora in southern Sydney, Robyn set up her successful studio workshop and enjoyed professional potting and liaising with other potters and artists for several years. With life changes Robyn moved to Paddington and transitioned back into teaching and then to a communications focused business as production director.
