A first-time visit to New Mexiko this summer felt very inspiring. The days in a small adobe house in the middle of the half dessert left a strong impression. Warm sun, barren soil, sparse vegetation, deep starry night, the awesome calm only disturbed by the soft sound of the wind and buzzing of hummingbirds. This piece is also inspired by the beautiful colors of the fabrics of the native people.
