This painting belongs to my "grounding" series. Using a muted palette that ranges from white and gray to the many shades of brown, it seeks to capture the essence of earth and life through simple, elemental forms. Subtle additions of natural materials such as sand, graphite, stone dust, and soil lend the colors a tactile, organic presence. The series as a whole reflects on our roots, the continuous cycle of life, and the quiet sense of belonging and comfort found in connection to the earth.
