The catalyst for this series was a trip along the Great Lakes and in particular a few days right on the banks of Lake Erie - lakes as big as oceans. I was inspired by the ever-changing colors and moods, the interplay of sky and water, the tranquility and gravity. A place to come to unwind, to harmonize mind and body, to concentrate on the essentials and to experience a feeling of awe and infinity. The paintings in this series convey a peaceful, serene atmosphere and the sensation of being beyond time and space.
This painting reflects the colors and the vastness of the landscape. On the other hand, the central form is also reminiscent of a microscopic scale, macro and micro in one and the same painting, which reflects the holistic nature of existence.
• Ink, flashe, color pencil & pastel on raw cotton canvas
• Slim and minimalist artist made floater frame, solid white oak, waxed
• Wired and ready to hang on your wall
