Sherbet Sunrise portrays a ghost-like knight painted against an imaginary sunrise. Through an economy of paint applied, I aspired to create a notion of romance and transience. Having worked on a cattle farm for many years in Argentina I witnessed the skilled Gauchos at work on their horses. As they galloped away, receding into in a cloud of dust that eventually enveloped them, I would sometimes imagine them as knights.
