I was keen to paint with spontaneous, vibrant brushstrokes and pure pigments. The base layer was painted in acrylic and then painted over with oil paint. I enjoyed applying thick oil paint in parts and then scrapping the surface to show the density of the paint. To the bottom of the composition there are clouds that are separate from the rest of the painting and then a convergence of the two universes via the green vine-like shape in the centre, rising and twisting upwards. Perhaps the clouds are a reflection from above or perhaps they are separate and unrelated.
