Collins Campbell was born in Sioux Lookout, Ontario on November 5, 1961. He was raised in the isolated fly-in community of North Spirit Lake. Campbell is a self-taught Ojibway Indian artist residing in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Campbell's art tells of Legends told to him by his Grandfather James Campbell while growing up.
