When the West Wind Blows is an immersive work, inviting the viewer to stand and gaze - noticing what sensations arise, and what the work evokes for them. There is a fluid energy in the work; colours reminiscent of sunlight and grasses seem to be pushed across the canvas by unseen winds while indistinct nebulous forms float and mingle from above, behind, or around.

NOTE: This painting is beautifully framed in oak.
