MessageSherry Mason (www.sherrymasonart.com) is a traditional landscape oil painter embracing the prismatic effects of light and atmosphere residing in Jonesborough, TN. She is predominantly self-taught, inspired by the masters of the Hudson River School, and aspires to bring the old master’s painterly style back into the art world. She translates to canvas the awe-inspiring waterfalls and beautiful, serene mountains of the east Tennessee and western North Carolina landscapes and other botanicals native to the area. Her realistic depictions of the transformative effects of light and color in the sky, clouds, mountains, water, and flowers declare the glory of God as the Creator. Her practiced technique conveys a sense of immediacy and harmony that we feel in the beautiful world He created.
Sherry’s many exhibitions include NOAPS Associate Online 2021, AAPL 2021 Online Show, Women Painters of the Southeast Annual Online Showcase and the Plein Air Salon Online Exhibition. At this time her work can be seen in her Home Studio Gallery in Jonesborough,TN.
The artist was juried into the Oil Painters of America (OPA), American Women Artists (AWA), as an Elected member of the American Artists Professional League, Inc (APPL) and Women Painters of the Southeast (WPSE), prominent organizations dedicated to the preservation of representational art and promoting excellence in the profession of women’s fine art.

Statement
"I have found in my journey and written in the pages of God's word, that we are just passing through this life very briefly. All the transitions from place to place have taught me how to live and expand how I view the world. The soft transitions in my brushwork are representational of how I have learned to move softly from place to place. My journey has ultimately become my greatest blessing and taught me how to see and observe!"
