Cloud Studies. In my work, I often connect ideas from Search and Rescue, with mental health. I've been in the room as a woman described her 10 day wait for rescue, and I've heard my husband's stories of searches. It led me to imagine clouds and looking up for rescue to represent the expectancy of help coming to us. Though weary, she kept looking for her chance. These studies are painted from the sky downwards, as I think of the fogginess that can often exist between people, and their inability to see each other. The phrase, "Conversations Through Clouds" for me, also brings to mind memories of prayers, a struggle sometimes to connect, and also a connection.
