In my ‘Warmth in Ripped Hues’ series, I delve into the art of papermaking to craft the fibers that lay the foundation for my work; rewinding the elementary process of collage to its core materials. I transform office paper scraps into pulp utilizing water and a blender, infuse pigment to manipulate the paper's color, and delicately pull the pulp through a mesh frame to create fragile squares of handmade paper. This approach infuses depth and layers into my art, highlighting the interplay of color, texture, and form.

My handmade paper collages speak a unique visual language and offer a distinct sensory experience. They evoke a sense of dissociative nostalgia, reminiscent of the warmth of grandma's quilts or the pixels that saturate our lives in this age of constant connectivity.
