From my garden in El Rito. The monsoons came this year and a TON of flowers grew. Many were volunteer (the sunflowers) and others reseeded from past years. I focused on this painting for a few days - and at the end it still wasn't 'feeling' like the joy the flowers expressed. I squeezed out paint onto the painting directly, thinking I would use a palette knife to spread it around. However, I liked the way it looked - as a line of thick paint. So for the next hour or so I continued squeezing paint out onto the panel. I love the way it turned out. It is one of a kind.
