On a frigid January morning, with temperatures plummeting to -39 degrees Celsius, I ventured out in search of inspiration for my next painting. Just as the sun began to rise, I captured a photograph of a charming little house nestled in the Nutana neighborhood of Saskatoon. This quaint residence, located at 502 - 11th Street East, was likely built in 1902 and once belonged to George Herber Clare, a local realtor and co-owner of the Irvine and Clare General Store at the corner of Broadway and Main. The Clares only called it home for a decade before relocating to a larger house next door.
