This old medical journal had really bad binding, so I simply twisted it into a column and held it together with Zip ties. To be frank, it sat glued up in a box for almost two years as I prepped it right before our "moving" adventures between 2016 and 2018, where we finally settled for a few years in a downtown townhouse. I had little time and very little room to do much, but on a whim, I started working on this one around 2019, right before Covid. I banged it out for the Hattiesburg Pocket Museum, which displayed all of my existing work for a month in 2020, during the height of Covid. Life goes on. Finally finishing it in early 2021, I pulled it from the box and finally got around to taking some photos in my light box.
This one is interesting in that it had all kinds of odd images of doctors, eyes, legs, pipe works and if you study the images, you'll see a class room of kids with white masks. I think this old book was published a few years after the Spanish flue, the date said 1925, so thought the timing was interesting and I had no idea when I tackled it.
Here's my first column piece and it turned out decent.
