This drawing is part of The Devotion Series, which began as a daily studio ritual in April 2024, following a period away from the studio due to health challenges. Each piece traces a hand-drawn interpretation of the Devotion motif—an ornamental pattern found in traditional Turkish (Anatolian) rugs. What began as a modest exercise in the sketchbook evolved into an act of devotion to both the creative process and the studio space itself. The recurring motif, repeated with quiet attention, has become an anchor and collaborator in an ongoing exploration of how individual expression can emerge from an underlying universal order.
