Collector’s Note – Scott Schumacher

This piece marks the inaugural voyage of my Artist Adventurer van, a mobile expression of creative service and soulful connection. On this trip, I journeyed 443 miles round trip to and from Kansas City, MO to retrieve four of Wendy’s abstract works following an exhibition. Though none sold, the spirit of the trip was anything but empty — it was filled with trust, beauty, and the quiet joy of being in service to another artist’s path. In gratitude, Wendy and I agreed to a trade, and this artwork now lives in my collection as a symbol of what it means to move through the world as an Artist Adventurer: led by instinct, bound by generosity, and grounded in the art of showing up.
