According to Cindy Ballou, friend of the artist, this piece and another called Breezy Chickadee were created from paint that was simply left over on a palette board as an exercise to paint what might still be remaining in the paint. Because of the many birds that call my property home at Quiet Path Farm, I purchased both pieces.
