This is the first lamp made by Cecile Houel, an artist who has lived in Burlington, Iowa for 17 years. Purchased at the opening night of her "Mississippi Whispers" solo show at the Art Center of Burlington on March 6, 2026. The piece is made from found objects, driftwood, and dried seed pods found around and near the Mississippi River on Burlington's coastline.
