These four mini etchings (2.5 x 3.5 inches) came from an outdoor printing session with my mini press. I noticed some weeds growing through the sidewalk cracks, pulled a few, and pressed them onto plexiglass plates. Their impressions created delicate etched lines, which I then enhanced with a few green brushstrokes.

Devil Sparks is a twist on “Devil Strip,” a term that describes the strip of land between sidewalks and roads, often where these resilient plants thrive.
