This 12x12 canvas began with an intricate layering of natural materials and Japanese papers, adhered with acrylic gel medium to create a complex, organic texture. After drying, I introduced R&F oil pigment sticks, allowing colors to evolve naturally. As the layers built up, a heart shape emerged, guiding the composition. The intentional cracks and breaks within the heart symbolize vulnerability and renewal, reinforcing the title Healing Souls—a reflection on restoration through time and art.
