During the early or mid 1970s, many women were leaving their families, husbands and children. They were just simply fed up with the hum-drum of family responsibilities. They wanted to achieve something for themselves – fulfill a need within themselves -- finish college, pursue a career. So thousands of them left home and just never returned.
