Howard states: “I have always attempted to incorporate in my work contemporary materials, techniques and tools. Conversation was done during the period when I was experimenting with the use of Polaroid films for making positive prints and color transparencies, thus allowing for direct, instant control of reproduction quality and multiple reproduction images for graphic work. More recent work incorporates imaging through color television systems.”
Conversation was purchased for the South Carolina Arts Commission’s State Art Collection in 1973.
