Grandiose and everything bold. "ROME FELL" before anyone knew what was happening. Even things of beauty and strength eventually fall. A sunset orange base gives way to dramatic black smears and drips down from the center-top, layers of red and brown and gold and yellow acrylic blend seamlessly in micro-grids throughout the canvas. Silver spray paint adds an airbrush effect; wiry texture raises in the form of tinsel in a tangle with all the paint. Thick acrylic gives way to dimension, much of which reflects in the gold oil spill puddle starting in the top left. What is left behind from an empire is a network of destruction; a blueprint for something beautiful. Red lines climb around, following the intersections of the grid gone before. "ROME FELL", and naturally gave way to something new.
