Blazing hot, “Hellfire” is a ring of flames. Blue and red and burgundy create engulfing tongues of fire, barely contained by the canvas. Embedded in the canvas are small watchfaces, all frozen on different times. Time is a made-up construct yet our lives rely so much on it. Once we are in heaven or hell, time won’t exist; it will be forever and no time at all. Violent white stripes mimic the ashes and sparks that explode from flames. Spelled in cutout magazine letters, this is “Hellfire”.
