In the spring of 2011 while researching North America’s most prolific descents for our book, Fifty Classic Ski Descents, we had the opportunity to explore the terrain between the prolific massif of Mount Sir Sanford and Fairy Meadows huts below Adamant. Along the way we traversed five unique glaciers in this vast and breathtakingly beautiful area in the Columbia Mountains. Here Chris Davenport threads the line between comfort and risk above an icefall on the Granite Glacier.
