Each fall the brilliance of the dying oak brush signals the surrender of summer to the coming of winter snows. Their twisted, knarly stocks expand out in a chaos. It is a disorganized collision with them selves as they reach for the last rays of fall sunshine. Nature is often exquisitely organized and chaotic at other times, but when you look closely it always seems to have a purpose for opportunistic survival.
“I wish that all of nature’s magnificence, the emotion of the land, the living energy of place could be photographed.”
— Annie Leibovitz
