Inspired by the powerful moment of emerging from underneath water and reaching your arms back into the light and the air, Skybursting is the embodiment of an actual lived moment I had in the Aegean sea. The octahedron ceramic shape symbolises an understanding of the cycles of life, that death (letting go of that which no longer serves us) and resurrection are part of it. It is the goal and once it is attained, it heralds a new beginning.
