I originally painted this piece over a year ago, but recently came back to it with fresh eyes and a few new techniques. I deepened the darks, added more contrast, and dropped in hints of golden light to echo that soft, glowy feeling of a late ride. And of course, a few splatters made their way in—because what’s a ride (or a painting) without a little mess and movement?
