There’s a moment, just before summer fully arrives, when everything seems to grow at once - wild, unruly, and full of purpose. 'Fuchsia Cluster' captures that feeling perfectly. It’s a large-scale celebration of chaos, where pink blooms push forward through thick layers of green, each brushstroke bursting with energy. The pink foil adds striking beams of light from certain angles, complimenting the heightened palette. The work doesn’t aim to document nature exactly as it is - it aims to feel like it does in that fleeting moment when the light hits just right, and a roadside shrub becomes something radiant. The fuchsia here is more than a flower - it’s movement, memory and mood all at once. A tangle, yes, but also a kind of joyful riot.
