I captured this portrait in the Godiwala bungalow, the home of the legendary Mr. Bimal Roy and his family. I was there on assignment for an interior magazine, photographing the beautifully preserved house and furniture, lovingly maintained even after his passing. Once the assignment was complete, I had the pleasure of chatting with Mrs. Manobina Roy, an avid photographer herself, about modern cameras, lights, and films. During our conversation, I requested her to pose for a portrait with her camera, and she graciously agreed. For the backdrop, I chose a photograph of Mr. Bimal Roy, which she had clicked herself.
