Scalloped Rim Dish

Ideal for appetizers, cookies, candies, cheeses, fruits or as a catchall for objects like keys, wallets, coins, jewelry, etc. The elevated foot makes it easy to pick up and adds a nice shadow to the shape of the piece.

The piece was created with a clay slab, Hand-carved with an original design, Three clay feet elevate the dish, clay balls applied as a decorative element, then the piece was bisque-fired. Underglazes hand painted in, Glaze-trailed, then dipped in an overall glaze. The glazes are food-safe, dishwasher safe and microwavable.

One of a kind, unique design reflects the artist’s observation of nature and years of scuba diving, plant life, textures and terrain. Created with Cone 6 mid-fire white clay fired in oxidation to 2200ºF.
