This piece was created with a laser etched wood die designed and created on the computer by Miller based on her interpretation of a work by Alphonse Mucha, one of her favorite artists. Mucha was a Czech painter, illustrator and graphic artist, living in Paris during the Art Nouveau period, late 1800 to early 1900. Additional impressed designs from home carved stamps complete the design.
Hand painted underglazes, glaze trailed and dipped overall glaze. Cone 6 mid-fire clay fired in oxidation to 2200ºF. This piece is food-safe, dishwasher safe and microwavable.
