For Schaff-Smith, inspiration comes as a result of varied travels and past residences including Chicago, Hawaii, and New York. She is passionate about painting, sculpture, collage, photography, textiles, fashion, music and dance of which all merge to inform her multi-disciplinary process. A true participant in the arts, Schaff-Smith holds a BS and Certification in Creative Arts Therapy from The New School, studied Design at California Institute of the Arts, and has contributed to educational programs at The Guggenheim Museum, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and Lifetime Arts.
Her own award-winning art can be found in private collections throughout the country and has been exhibited at venues including, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Russian Consulate, Manhatanville College, The Lam Foundation (New York, NY), IBM (Chicago), and The Silvermine Art Center (New Canaan, CT). She currently lives and maintains a studio in Pelham, NY.
