Katie Ré Scheidt is an abstract expressionist oil painter, living in Roxbury, CT. Her use of bold color and uninhibited brushwork contribute to Scheidt’s energetic body of work. Before life as an artist, Scheidt worked on wall street for 12 years, and in 2010 moved to Litchfield County with her husband where they raise their two children. Scheidt paints in her studio, which she calls “The Fauve Barn,” and has developed a strong commission business over the past several years. Her work can be found in private collections across the country including in New York City and throughout Westchester County, New York, as well as Connecticut, North Carolina, Chicago and California.
