This piece is made up of five-layers scissors-cut paper. After the 2016 election, China's president declared that China would make up for the environmental damage that the United States was about to cause. The dragon in this piece is wearing a traditional cotton headband like the ones that protesters wear in China. The headband reads "Protect Water." The umbrella is also a sign of protest in China. This piece is about the U.S. abandoning its position of world leadership, and allowing China to take up the slack.
